In addition to the Loews Concorde, many hotels and B&Bs are available in the vicinity. There are over 12 000 accomodation units waiting for you in the Metropolitan Quebec area! From the cosy little inn of the Old Quebec to the five stars grand hôtel, with B&Bs or youth hostels in between, one can find a place for every taste and every budget.

To help you choose those accomodations, we recommend the following websites and services:

The Service de résidences de l'Université Laval is located on a major axis linking the Université Laval campus to the Loews-Concorde hôtel in a few minutes by rapid bus service (Métrobus). uring the summer months, more than 800 units are available at low cost.

There are also 2 Youth hostels within 10 minutes by foot from the Congress location

TRANSPORTATION

The City of Quebec is reachable by an international airport (Aéroport international Jean-Lesage), by train (Via Rail) and by intercity buses (Orléans Express, Greyhound, Intercar, etc.). For those last two modes, the intermodal terminal (gare du Palais) is very close to the Old Quebec.

A taxi ride between the airport Jean-Lesage and downtown Quebec City costs 32,50$ (flat rate 2008 subject to change). This rate is offered by Taxi Coop Québec : 418 525-5191 ou 418 525-4953.

The public transit system (Réseau du Transport de la Capitale (RTC)) offers this shuttle service between airport and hotels as well. For more information on rates and regular routes, consult the RTC website or phone 418-627-2511. The rate for one regular passage is 2,60$ but day passes are also available in many stores at 6,45$.
